Getting Ready for our Walk-a-thon!

Today we were able to participate in a walk-a-thon to help raise funds for our school. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!!!

Happy Birthday, Breona!!!

Breona had some surprise visitors for her birthday! Her stepmother and grandmother planned with Miss Perchinski to bring in surprise treats for our class! Breona was so surprised!!!!

We have eggs!!!

We are trying to hatch 36 chicks this year!

The 4th graders are getting chicks! 4H is teaching us all about the eggs we are getting!

Adaptations

Miss Perchinski is reviewing animal adaptations with the 4th grade. Here's a video to help you remember what an adaptation is (changes in the body to fit a location), as well as various different examples of camels' adaptations.

Party Walk is in the House!

Dear J. Henry Cochran Elementary Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce the Spring 2013 Walk-A-Thon, “Party Rock-n-Walk.” The Cochran School Association receives 100% of the revenue from this fundraiser. Proceeds from “Party Rock-n-Walk” will go toward our student assemblies, field trips and many other wonderful programs and experiences for our children.

 What:              2013 Walk-a-thon, “Party Rock-n-Walk!”

 When:             Friday, May 3, 2013

 Prizes:           Top Fundraising Classes will have the opportunity to win one of the following Class Party Prize Packs:

·       1st place – Pizza Palooza (pizza & dance party)

·       2nd place – Movie Mania (movie & popcorn)

·       3rd place             – Bedtime Stories (pj’s, cookies, milk & story)

·       4th place – Brain Freeze (ice cream cake piñata party)

Each student who raises $20 or more will be entered to win a
chance to duct tape or throw a pie at Mr. Michaels!

Important Instructions:

           

1.     Obtain friends and family members to sponsor your child.

2.     Fill out the attached sponsor sheet and collect money. Accept cash or checks, with all checks made payable to “Cochran School Association.”

3.     Write your child’s first and last name on his or her Sponsor sheet and envelope.

4.     Please return envelope and sponsor sheet with donation money enclosed, by Friday, May 3, 2013.

Thank you for your support of our school. Together we can make the 2013 Walk-A-Thon, “Party Rock-n-Walk!” a huge success!
